India Famine Relief Committee history collection, 1895-1900.

The collection consists of the records from the Kansas India Famine Relief Committee, a group appointed by Kansas Governor Edmund Morrill in 1895 to provide aid to people in India. It includes letterpress books and other copies of the Committee's outgoing correspondence; incoming correspondence; cash books, bank account book, treasurer's account book, receipts & vouchers, and similar financial records; and related materials. The records provide details about the logistics of assembling funds and corn and of shipping the corn, as well as information about who donated to the cause.
